    Called to the Extraordinary

When people are asked what the most important mission of the Roman Catholic Church is, the answer might surprise them: evangelization. At Modern Apostle, this lies at the very heart of our work.

Now, the most visible and public expression of the Church’s life is the celebration of the Mass—centered on the Eucharist, which we as Catholics believe to be the true presence of Jesus Christ: body, blood, soul, and divinity. While many of our Christian brothers and sisters may view the Eucharist differently, for us, this belief is not merely symbolic—it is dogma.

Today, we are proud to share that two of our founders, Ian and Amanda, have been commissioned as Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion.

Why extraordinary? Because their role is just that: extraordinary. Unlike the ordinary ministers of the Eucharist—bishops, priests, and deacons—extraordinary ministers are called upon to assist in distributing Holy Communion when there is a pastoral need or at the request of a priest.

It is a profound blessing and an honor to see Ian and Amanda chosen for this sacred ministry. Their journeys are testaments to grace: not long ago, Ian was received into the Church as a convert, and Amanda—though baptized and having received her First Holy Communion—had fallen away from the faith for years before returning and completing her Confirmation through RCIA.

Now, through God’s mercy, both have been drawn back to the table of Christ. Not only are they in communion with Him—they now have the privilege of helping bring Christ Himself, in the Eucharist, to the faithful.

From sinners to servants—this is the extraordinary power of God’s call.

    God Bless,
