Faith, Freedom & Fellowship: A Fourth of July Reflection

This morning, Patrick and I kicked off the Fourth of July with a peaceful sunrise fishing outing. As the sun broke over the water, we were reminded not only of the beauty of God’s creation, but also of the quiet brotherhood found in casting a line—just as Peter and Andrew, the first apostles, were called from their nets to follow Christ.
There’s something sacred about beginning Independence Day in stillness, reflection, and fraternity—grateful for our freedoms, our faith, and the call to live boldly as modern apostles.
This Fourth of July, we celebrate not just America’s freedom, but the freedom we have in Christ. As Scripture declares:
“Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people chosen as his inheritance.” — Psalm 33:12
From all of us at The Modern Apostle™️, Happy Independence Day. May we continue to stand for faith, family, and freedom—and always remember the sacrifice that made all three possible.
