    Inviting God Into Every Moment

    Updated: Jul 30

Lately, I’ve been trying to get into the habit of asking God to be part of my day—every chance I get.

Before my feet hit the floor in the morning: Be with me, Lord. While packing lunches or changing diapers: Come, Holy Spirit. Before replying to a difficult text or walking into a stressful moment: God, Thy will, not my will.

It’s not always a long, formal prayer. Sometimes it’s just a whisper. A deep breath. A glance upward in the middle of chaos.

I want my whole day—my ordinary, repetitive, messy day—to be a conversation with Him. And I’m learning that when I invite Him in, I become more aware of His voice. Not loud or flashy, but gentle. Guiding. Steadying.

When Jesus prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane, He said, “Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done.” (Luke 22:42)

That one line carries so much surrender. And it reminds me that the small, daily prayers I whisper—“Help me,” “Lead me,” “Stay with me”—are all tiny echoes of His greater one: Not my will, but Yours be done.

Some days, I still forget. I rush ahead. I handle it all myself. But even then, He’s still there, waiting for me to turn back and ask again.

So I keep trying. I keep asking. I keep listening. Because I believe God isn’t just for Sundays or quiet mornings—He wants to walk with me through it all.

    God Bless,
